"God is too righteous to even look upon wrong, but to trust him is to live."
This week's challenge is Proverbs;

Wisdom for living below, comes from above.

Being wise = fearing God.

ReplyDeleteI don't think that the book as a whole is about fearing God though. Perhaps I'll be burned at the stake for this, but to me living well is actually the subject.
I concur. Being wise = fearing God, but there is more to it than that. Perhaps it's the beginning of wisdom but not the end?
ReplyDeleteThe wisdom of proverbs is of benefit not just to those who fear the Lord, in fact some of it is known to come from Gentile sources. But while of benefit it is not true wisdom.
