Disgraced from ministry

It's good to be aware, to beware really of the particular sinful temptations that you are susceptible to. The most common form of being disgraced from paid full-time ministry is for reasons of either sex or money, and occasionally both. I don't particularly think I'm tempted by money. Sex on the other hand is a temptation to most blokes and requires constant vigilance, as well as spades of grace from God.

But enough with these musings, I've finally worked out the particular way I'm most likely to disgrace the name of the Lord Jesus - strangling a teenager who insists on constantly having one earbud of his headphones firmly in place in his ear. It's like people who wear a bluetooth headset while shopping. Each time I see a teenager who thinks he's politely listening because he's only listening to music in one ear, I start imaging horrible things happening to them with the headphone cord.

The worse thing is I think I was probably much the same at that age, but the difference was it was kind of awkward to only remove one ear with old style headphones.

  1. I think you might be promoted in ministry if you acted on these temptations. There's a difference between violence and a correct use of force.

  3. Yeah I agree with Mikey.

It's time to get OT on their teenage butts.
