My daughter suggests there should be a tick box that says: 'I haven't read the terms and conditions and wave all my rights away.' I'm just hoping for the sake of that same daughter that no-one turns up looking to claim my first born child as a result of one of those check boxes that I ticked and never read.
I guess effectively its the same thing, isn't it? If we don't read the terms and conditions, there is every chance the fine print actually says "I acknowledge I have no rights".
I've thought about this. I think because the people who make the terms and agreements know full well that no one reads them, then it's probably OK to tick the box.
But following your conscience is the best bet, I think. Because if you think it's a sin and do it, then it is.

That's spot on I reckon. I don't really have a problem with ticking the box, but I think that perhaps I should think twice.
ReplyDeleteintention of the law is a good principle.
